Subject: One of the greatest novels in worlds literature of all times.
Subject: One of the greatest novels in worlds literature of all times.
My impressions of this book were quite long. And the whole meaning of it, as I suspect, I have not opened and is unlikely to ever open up to the end...
I will not retell the plot of the work, I note only that it is dedicated to whalers and whales and it is around their relationship that the novel itself is built.
Just note that this book is not easy to read, read quite difficult. Each of the 135 chapters has a huge meaning. So this book is for a serious and thoughtful reader.
In conclusion, this novel by Herman Melville is certainly one of the greatest works of world literature that every intelligent person should read.
